Vine and Wine Museum

The favorable climate of Donnas has long supported the cultivation of Mediterranean plants such as olive trees and, above all, grapevines. The first documents mentioning viticulture in this Lower Valley municipality date back to the 13th century. The vast terracing works and the challenges posed by the steep slopes have earned this practice the name of ‘heroic viticulture.’ Deeply rooted in the local culture, wine production and trade today also serve as a means of enhancing the entire territory.
The brick-vaulted cellars of the Anna Caterina Selve nursery school provide an evocative setting for the local wine museum.
