Garden of Sky and Time

The exhibition was created by the Mont Avic Natural Park Authority in collaboration with the Verrès section of the CAI.
It features various tools for orientation, several sundials, and a device to determine the Sun’s position among the stars on a given date.
It is recommended to observe the items following their numbered sequence.
All the sundials on display indicate local solar time, not the conventional or civil time we are accustomed to, which is based on the passage of an “average” Sun along the Etna meridian.
