Description
Situated on a panoramic balcony in Marine, the Partisan Bell tolls every morning at 9:15, honoring the birth of the local Resistance. This site is near where the first shot in the Aosta Valley against the Nazi-fascists was fired. The bell, named ‘Aurora,’ pays tribute to Aurora Vuillerminaz, a courageous partisan executed on October 16, 1944, while returning from Switzerland with young freedom fighters.
