Waterfall Trail
( 905 m)Brief description
This short hike can be completed in just over an hour.
The highlight of the hike is the beautiful waterfall, with its deep pool below where the rock has been entirely carved out by the force of the water.
In the final section, a fixed rope and a few iron steps help you climb across a smooth rock slab—here, children must be carefully supervised.
Do not go beyond the point where the fixed rope ends.
Both the ascent and descent follow a charming mule track, and the entire route is clearly marked with dedicated trail signs.

Start point description
From the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, turn right towards Turin. At the second roundabout, turn left following the signs for Gressoney. The road climbs for a few hundred meters before turning right into the Lys Valley road. Without entering the village, you will find a large car park on the left where you can leave your car.
Trail description
From the car park, cross the regional road and take the path leading into the adventure park.
Follow the trail, cross a small bridge over the stream, and then turn uphill to the left.
The path climbs through a chestnut grove before traversing right on level ground to join the mule track coming from Espaz.
From here, follow the beautiful mule track, partly stepped, which with a series of switchbacks and a final long stretch reaches the paved road—this marks the end of the steepest section of the climb.
Turn right and follow the road downhill until you reach the Bouroz stream.
Climb left, using a few iron steps that make it easier to overcome a smooth rock slab, then follow the fixed rope to reach the viewpoint from which the waterfall can be admired in all its beauty.
Do not go beyond the area protected by the fixed rope—the rock can be extremely slippery.
After taking time to enjoy the waterfall, return along the paved road, retracing your steps.
Continue past the point previously reached and follow the road until you find the mule track descending into the village.
Take it, and after a short stretch you will come to the characteristic Bercé Bridge.
Cross the bridge to reach a large votive shrine.
Descend left along the mule track to reach the paved road again, follow it briefly, then turn left in front of the cemetery and take the mule track that descends back to the car park.
Cross the road, walk past the chapel of San Rocco, and cross the regional road once more.
From here, follow the path along the Lys stream to return to the car park where the hike began.
It is well worth making a short detour into the village: cross the bridge and visit the local church to complete this rewarding excursion.
