Start point description

From the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, turn right towards Turin. At the second roundabout, turn left following the signs for Gressoney.
The road climbs for a few hundred metres before turning right into the Lys Valley, passing through the villages of Lillianes, Fontainemore, Issime, and Gaby.
Continue until you reach Gressoney-Saint-Jean. Just before crossing the bridge over the Lys stream, on the left, there is a car park.

Trail description

From the car park, cross the Lys stream and follow its course until you reach the bridge that marks the start of the itinerary.
The route follows a rural road alongside the stream until you reach the hydroelectric power plant. High above, on a rocky ridge, the beautiful village of Alpenzu Grande is clearly visible.
Shortly afterwards, the trail climbs to the right into the forest, reaching an asphalt road which is followed up to the houses of Rong.
From this point, follow the trail passing several villages until reaching Òndre Eselbode.
Turn left, cross the regional road, and enter the downtown of Gressoney-La-Trinité.
The return is along the same route.
