Trail description

From the car park, go up the steep mule track leading to Petit Mont Blanc (the trailhead is not very visible) and continue to La Cort, where just above you will find the well-frequented trail leading to Barbustel Refuge.
Reach the refreshment point and Lake Muffè, and follow a gentler route—with the exception of a slightly steeper final stretch—to Col del Lake Bianco. From the pass, descend a stony valley. At one point, the entire Monte Rosa range appears against the sky. Soon after, you reach Barbustel Refuge.
From the refuge, descend to the small bridge between Lake Bianco and Lake Nero, then ascend along the traverse (with Lake Cornuto visible below) until you reach the Gran Lago, which you follow along the right side. Passing several other lakes, you arrive at Col Mézouve.
From the pass, descend the wide valley, skirting the right side of Lago Margheron almost to the Forestry cabin, then turn left to cross the plain and take the steep trail leading to Col Estsèly (or Eyeles).
From the pass, follow the hunting mule track to Col Fussy. From there, descend along the official mule track to the valley floor, where the main road of Miserin leads to Dondena Refuge.
After a break at the refuge, descend steeply to cross the bridge over the stream, then shortly after turn right onto Alta Via No. 1, which you follow to Chardonney, where the car is parked.
