Start point description

From the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, turn right toward Torino. At the second roundabout, turn left toward Gressoney.
After a few hundred meters, take the road to the right into the Lys Valley, passing through the villages of Lillianes, Fontainemore, Issime, Gaby, and Gressoney-Saint-Jean, until reaching Gressoney-La-Trinité.
Without entering the village, turn right toward Staffal and follow the road to its end, where two large paid car parks are available.

Trail description

From the car park, follow the regional road downstream, then turn left onto the small road leading into the Mòòs valley. Where the road bends left, continue along the trail ascending the steep meadow until reaching the rural road again.
Follow the rural road to the first junction, turn left, continue for about a hundred meters, and just after the first building, leave the road and take the trail on the right. The path climbs briefly, then continues with a long, gentle traverse to the right. After a steeper section, cross again to the right to reach the Welfsch Gaveno huts.
From here, descend slightly to meet the trail coming from Gabiet. Follow the valley to the water intake, then ascend to the left where the trail levels out. Leave the trail leading to Col della Salza and climb left to reach two small lakes. The trail continues, descending from the Blue Lake toward the Green Lake.
Beyond this point, the track becomes less visible. Follow the gentle valley, then slightly ascend to traverse a rocky section leading to a small pass overlooking the valley. Follow the ridge to reach the summit, where you are rewarded with sweeping views of the valley and Monte Rosa.
Return follows the same route.
