Brief description

A loop trail leading to the top station of Punta Jolanda, more commonly reached with the chairlift for an easier ascent.
The route climbs through the steep larch forest near the chairlift line and descends along the downhill ski slope area.
For those wishing to extend the hike, it is possible to continue to Gabiet Lake, connecting with the other itinerary (see the description of the Gabiet Lake trail).

Start point description

From the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, turn right towards Turin. At the second roundabout, turn left following signs for Gressoney.
The road climbs for several hundred meters before turning right into the Lys Valley road, passing through the villages of Lillianes, Fontainemore, Issime, Gaby, and Gressoney-Saint-Jean, until reaching the main village of Gressoney-La-Trinité.
At the roundabout, continue straight into the village. After a few hundred meters, a large car park will be found on the left.

Trail description

Follow the road that crosses the Lys stream. cross the regional road and continue along a small lane, which leads to the start of the pleasant uphill trail.
Reach a junction where you leave the trail to Bivacco Gastaldi and continue left toward the huts of Obre Eselbode.
The path approaches the stream and crosses via a small footbridge. Continue to the huts of Nétsciò, where a rural road is encountered just above.
Cross the road and ascend steeply through the larch forest until its end. Following the final basin, reach the top station of the chairlift.
From here, the trail descends through the larch forest until it meets the service track at the bottom (alternatively, you can follow the service track directly), which leads to the huts of Bédemie.
Continue along the trail until reaching a particularly beautiful section, bordered by a stone-posted fence, arriving at the huts of Orsia.
Finally, follow the road leading to Staffal, alternating with short trail sections, until returning to the car.
