Brief description
The final section follows the scenic ridge that separates the Aosta Valley from the Canavese region. On clear days, you can admire the Po Plain stretching all the way to Turin and the Basilica of Superga.
On the ascent, you will pass the three stone basins of Truc, along with its water supply channel built from carved stones.
The trail section after Truc toward Panteyon is faint and less visible, as is the section on the return from Panteyon to the rural road.
For a more relaxed experience, it is better to avoid visiting during the summer, when the alpage is actively used.

Start point description
From the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, turn right towards Turin. At the second roundabout, turn left in the direction of Gressoney.
The road climbs for a few hundred meters before turning right onto the Lys Valley road, which you follow all the way to Lillianes.
Just before the narrow part of the village, turn right onto the ascending road. At the first junction, continue left. Climb the steep mountainside until reaching a junction, then follow the signs for Étoile du Berger.
Pass several steep hairpins to reach another junction, where you continue toward Étoile du Berger, leaving it on the right. After about 1 km, you will reach the small car park where you can leave your car.
Trail description
From the car park, follow the rural road, cross the bridge, and continue along the opposite bank. After a hairpin turn, begin the long traverse that leads into the Stoba valley.
Upon reaching the alpage area, turn left onto the rural road that climbs through the larch forest. Follow the road with its wide switchbacks until reaching the junction on the right that leads to the Truc alpage.
After visiting the three stone basins, continue climbing along the stone channels to the spring at the end. Return to the basins, then take a small trail that first crosses a meadow and then winds through the trees to reach the Panteyon hut.
From the hut, continue carefully along the trail until reaching the Liet huts and, shortly after, the Col Liet.
From the col, turn right onto the wide, panoramic ridge, which leads to Punta Cressa. From the peak, descend to a small col and continue along the ridge to reach the Bec di Nona.
The descent follows the same route back to Panteyon hut, where you can descend directly to the rural road. Follow the road along the ascent route back to the car park.
Just before reaching the car, it is recommended to take a short detour along the Alta Via to admire the beautiful Revers bridge.
