Start point description

From the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, turn right towards Turin. At the second roundabout, turn left following the signs for Gressoney.
The road climbs for a few hundred meters before branching off to the right into the Lys Valley. Continue along this road, passing through the villages of Lillianes, Fontainemore, Issime, Gaby, and Gressoney-Saint-Jean, until you reach the main village of Gressoney-La-Trinité.
Without entering the village, turn right towards Staffal and follow the road to its end, where two large paid car parks are available.

Trail description

From the lift arrival station, head right on a flat stretch until you carefully cross the ski slope, which at this point is quite narrow.
Continue along the service road, then traverse to the right to reach the Sitten Refuge.
From here, tackle a steep section before continuing along the right-hand side of the ski slope.
Keep to the right and, with one final traverse to the left, you arrive at the top station of the chairlift.
For the descent, follow the ski slope all the way down to Staffal.
