Start point description

From the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, turn right towards Turin.
At the second roundabout, turn left in the direction of Gressoney.
The road climbs for a few hundred meters before turning right onto the Lys Valley road, which you follow all the way to Fontainemore.
Pass through the town center and continue for less than three kilometres, then, on the left, follow the signs for Borney. Continue along this road until reaching the hamlet.
At the beginning of the hamlet, take the road that climbs to the right, which leads to the small car park of the Cara village.

Trail description

From the car park, take the steep but scenic mule track that climbs through the forest until reaching the wide clearing where the Châteroux houses are located.
Cross the rural road and continue along the mule track until reaching the houses of Kiry.
Follow the mule track, which at the end (through a less convenient section) returns to the rural road, or continue entirely along the rural road to reach the charming Kiry chapel, a worthwhile stop to enjoy the panorama.
Behind the chapel, a trail begins that passes Ceve and Chalasc, eventually narrowing, and reconnects with the rural road, leading in a few minutes to Alpe Nantré.
Continue along the trail to reach the wide final basin, then traverse left to reach Alpe Prial, and finally ascend a short section to the pass leading into the Crabun valley.
From here, follow a trace along the broad ridge to reach the first summit of Mont de Prial.
