Start point description

From the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, turn right toward Torino. At the second roundabout, turn left in the direction of Gressoney.
After a few hundred meters, take the right turn onto the road of the Lys Valley, passing through the towns of Lillianes, Fontainemore, Issime, Gaby, and Gressoney-Saint-Jean until reaching the town of Gressoney-La-Trinité.
At the roundabout, continue straight into the village, and after a few hundred meters, you will find the large car park on the left.

Trail description

From the car park, follow the pedestrian path toward Staffal until you find the trail on the left that leads to Testa Grigia.
The trail goes up steeply through the forest; continue until about 1,870 meters, where you leave it to follow trail marker 11 leading to the Bodma huts. Continue in the same direction, high above the valley, then begin descending to meet the trail coming from the valley floor.
From here, follow a mostly flat route to reach the charming village of Alpenzu Piccolo. After admiring the beautiful buildings and the monumental tree, return to the previous junction.
Descend along a long diagonal (be careful at a crossroads not to descend directly to the valley) until reaching the regional road near the roundabout. Follow the road for a few minutes to return to the car park.
