Issime – Hurllji

A short but very steep route, gaining 500 meters of elevation in less than 5 km.
After the initial section, the road climbs the steep rocky slope, offering a beautiful view over the Issime plain.
The road is fully paved.
Upon returning to the car, a visit to the church of Issime is recommended.

Start point description
From the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, turn right towards Turin. At the second roundabout, turn left towards Gressoney.
The road climbs a few hundred meters before turning right onto the Lys Valley road, passing through the villages of Lillianes and Fontainemore.
Continue into the territory of Issime until reaching the village, where the church and car park can be seen on the right.
Trail description
From the car park, follow the regional road towards Gressoney for a few hundred meters, then turn sharply left to begin the climb.
From this point, it is a continuous steep ascent with several hairpin bends.
Pass by the Grotta di SS. Agonia Chapel before reaching the most panoramic section.
The road climbs quickly along the steep rocky slope, then shifts to the left, and with two final hairpins, reaches the end of the paved road where the route finishes.
