Start point description
From the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, turn right towards Turin. At the second roundabout, turn left in the direction of Gressoney.
The road climbs for a few hundred metres, then take the Lys Valley road on the right, following it all the way to Fontainemore.
Pass through the village centre and continue for less than two kilometres, where on the right you will find the signs for Coumarial. Follow this road to its end at the large car park.
Trail description
From the car park, ascend the trail that crosses the two hairpin bends until you reach the road. Follow it to the left until a fork, where you continue straight ahead.
Along the route, you will start to see various exercise stations, and a fountain on the left. Continue along the level road until you reach a house, where on the left the view opens onto the valley floor.
After a short pause to enjoy the panorama, return part of the way until you find the road on the left that ascends. Pass a hairpin bend and continue with a gentle climb, then level out until you reconnect with the previously walked section.
A final stretch leads back to the car park.
