Start point description

From the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, turn right towards Turin. At the second roundabout, turn left towards Gressoney.
The road climbs a few hundred meters before turning right onto the Lys Valley road, passing through the villages of Lillianes, Fontainemore, Issime, Gaby, and Gressoney-Saint-Jean until reaching the center of Gressoney-La-Trinité.
Without entering the village, turn right towards Staffal and follow the road to its end, where there are two large paid car parks.

Trail description

From the car park, follow the stream for a few hundred meters until you reach a dirt car park on the left, where the road begins.
The road climbs with steep hairpin bends, then veers to the left to reach the beautiful Sant'Anna basin, where the path ascends on the right.
If you continue straight on the flat section, you quickly reach the Sant'Anna chapel, from which the view of Monte Rosa is fantastic.
Pass a hairpin bend and arrive at the Sitten refreshment point, where a short break can be taken.
Continue along the track through the center of the valley, which leads all the way to Col della Bettaforca.
