Start point description

From the Pont-Saint-Martin motorway exit, turn right towards Turin. At the second roundabout, turn left following the signs for Gressoney.
The road climbs for a few hundred metres before turning right into the Lys Valley, passing through the villages of Lillianes, Fontainemore, Issime, and Gaby.
Continue until you reach Gressoney-Saint-Jean. Just before crossing the bridge over the Lys stream, on the left, there is a car park with several spaces.

Trail description

From the car park, cross the Lys and the main road to enter the downtown of the village. Pass in front of the church and then turn left towards Lake Gover.
At the beginning of the lake, take the trail on the right into the forest, which ascends steadily.
Follow this path for a stretch, then turn right and shortly afterwards turn left.
The trail climbs steeply until it emerges into a clearing with a hut, marking the end of the via ferrata.
Continue through the steep forest until you reach the wide clearing where Alpe Jatza is located, and shortly after, the building that marks the end of the ascent.
From here, follow the Walser trail to the left until reaching Alpe Ronckè, where the steep descent begins, leading to the Passeggiata della Regina.
Once on this trail, follow it to the left until you reach Lake Gover, from where you return to the car via the same route as the ascent.
